It's a busy time for celebrations in the UK. Halloween marks
the pagan transition from autumn to winter. Bonfire night on the 5th November
reminds us of the fragility of the state or the power of it's repression and
Armistice day on the 11th November reminds us of the tremendous costs caused by
political failure.
