Let’s talk about the entertainment economy. In the “developed” world we, for the most part, have so few problems or difficulties to cover the essentials of daily life (food, water, accommodation, transport, health, etc.) that we can immerse ourselves in finding entertainment to occupy our abundant free time. We are inundated with possibilities from television, cinema, sport, endless feeds on social media, travel and many other things that we forget how fragile our existence is until disaster strikes or an emergency arrives. Are we living with a false sense of security? Do you think that we neglect the important things in life by being so embroiled in entertaining ourselves? Should we be more interactive with defending and sustaining the essential infrastructure around us? Are you overwhelmed by the possibilities that the entertainment economy offers us?
