DNA testing has become much more accessible and cheaper as technology advances and is now being used as an aid to reproductive medicine allowing people to avoid genetic "disorders" in their children and to help people prevent diseases that they may be vulnerable to as a consequence of their genetics.
This technology is also being used to trace the origins of people as the human race evolved.
