Let's talk about gambling. Once the domain of 'one arm bandits' (slot machines), domino games and a few smokey back-room card tables, gambling is now mainstream, online and incessantly advertised and glamourised by sporting stars amongst others. Is it desperation or hope that drives people to have a flutter on a number printed on a piece of "official" paper (lottery)? Despite the low returns and hefty taxation, do you feel obliged to buy lottery at this time of year?
