On Thursday 27th April let's talk about sport. Developing team spirit or training to improve personal achievement are characteristics of participation in sport which are considered to be positive. The sight of parents brawling over the performance of their children in a football match or the unfortunate fatality of a child while training to drive a cart bring into question the reported benefits of practicing sport. Participation in sport should be fun, so is something going wrong?
On Friday 28th April we will consider the book, "Homage to Catalonia", by George Orwell. (see blog)
