Let's talk about modern day slavery. Apart from the obvious disgusting cases of forced imprisonment and labour both here and abroad, the continual advance of mechanisation and automation along with labour reforms are driving wages down while increasing profit for businesses. The lack of job security leads workers to do anything demanded of them, even if they disagree, so as not to lose their subsistence. Can anything be done to reverse the trend?
