LET'S TALK, 3rd Thursday & 4th Friday of April.

This week let's talk about children's stories. International children's story day is celebrated on and around the 2nd of April to celebrate the birthday of Hans Christian Anderson. Children's stories are fundamental for encouraging children to read, stimulating imagination and celebrating local culture and customs. Can you remember your first story books? What attracted you to them? How did they influence you? What stories would you recommend for children and why? Here's some stimulation; http://www.ibby.org/index.php?id=269  http://www.cbcbooks.org/book-search/     http://www.educationscotland.gov.uk/scotlandsstories/
